A special book that helps people living with motor neurone disease (MND) keep their voices – by reading a story that helps explain what they’re going through. Created in partnership with the MND Association and Rolls-Royce
The ad explores the challenges faced by individuals diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and introduces a novel solution to preserve their voices through voice banking. It begins with the emotional impact of learning about MND and progresses to showing how the disease often results in voice loss. We are introduced to the concept of voice banking, where individuals record their voices to create a digital replica to be used after they can no longer speak. The tedious process of recording phrases is highlighted. To address this, Dell Technologies, Intel, Rolls-Royce, and the MND Association developed a children's book, 'I Will Always Be Me,' which contains all the sounds needed to create a digital voice. Through emotive testimonies, families share their experiences of using the book to express changes in their lives while maintaining their identity. Many individuals express the importance of having their familiar voice to communicate with loved ones. The ad ends with impactful statistics showing increased adoption of voice banking, underscoring the ad’s central message of hope and preservation of identity.
